Remote Data Scraper & Web Researcher

About the role

This full‑time remote position focuses on locating relevant online sources, extracting both structured and unstructured data, and delivering it in clean, standardized formats. The Data Scraper / Web Researcher works independently while collaborating with a distributed team to ensure data quality and compliance with ethical guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate websites and online sources based on project requirements.
• Extract data using scraping tools, browser extensions, scripts or APIs.
• Organise collected information into spreadsheets or databases, removing duplicates and performing basic cleaning.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of data, documenting sources and methodologies.
• Maintain clear records, meet deadlines, and follow legal and ethical data‑collection policies.
• Collaborate with team members to refine collection processes and report findings.

Required profile

• Strong web‑research abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience with data‑scraping techniques and familiarity with HTML and website structures.
• Proficiency in organizing and cleaning data in spreadsheets or databases.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, document work, and manage time independently.
• Good written communication for reporting results.
• Understanding of data‑privacy, ethical collection practices, and website terms of use.
