Remote DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a leading technology client on a contract basis. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure to accelerate software delivery while ensuring reliability and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement improvements for high availability.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to embed DevOps best practices.
• Support and optimise cloud environments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, focusing on scalability and cost control.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong background in infrastructure‑as‑code and automation tools.
• Hands‑on scripting ability in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Understanding of cloud networking, security, and monitoring concepts.
