Remote Mathematics Professor/Researcher (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a PhD‑qualified Mathematics Professor/Researcher to join a leading technology client on a contract basis. Working remotely, you will apply advanced mathematical theory to drive innovation in AI‑driven applications and data‑science projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and refine mathematical models for optimization, probabilistic reasoning and other AI‑focused tasks.
• Perform rigorous theoretical analysis to validate and extend existing algorithms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and data‑science teams to translate mathematical insights into scalable solutions.
• Publish research results in peer‑reviewed journals or present at academic and industry conferences.
• Mentor junior researchers or graduate students on advanced mathematical concepts.

Required profile

• PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in mathematical modeling, numerical analysis or computational mathematics.
• Experience with machine‑learning frameworks or optimization algorithms is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or Julia for simulations.
• Strong background in statistics, linear algebra and differential equations.
