Remote Sociology Professor (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sociology Professor to deliver fully asynchronous undergraduate and graduate courses. This contract position allows you to work from anywhere while creating high‑quality online content for a global higher‑education provider.

Key responsibilities

• Design and update syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments for post‑secondary sociology courses.
• Produce weekly asynchronous modules that include recorded lectures, readings, discussion prompts, and assignments.
• Grade student work using rubrics and provide detailed feedback within 48 hours.
• Enforce academic integrity policies and address any instances of plagiarism or misconduct.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Sociology or a closely related discipline.
• Prior experience teaching at the post‑secondary level, preferably in an online or hybrid format.
• Strong written communication skills for clear feedback and documentation.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple course sections.

Required skills

• Proficiency with learning management systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
