Senior Assurance Officer – Supply Chain

About the role

Better Cotton is looking for a Senior Assurance Officer to lead supply‑chain monitoring and certification activities in Pakistan. You will ensure that assurance processes follow the Chain of Custody Standard and support the organization’s 2030 sustainability strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct remote and on‑site transaction monitoring for supply‑chain actors using the BCI Platform.
• Follow up on audit outcomes, prepare CAP closure documents, and draft suspension letters when required.
• Share monitoring results and lessons learned with country teams to guide capacity‑building initiatives.
• Perform in‑person audits, volume integrity checks, and support incident management for first‑mile traceability.
• Act as a liaison between producers and assurance teams to improve collaboration.
• Review a sample of CoC certification audit reports and provide continuous feedback.
• Support shadow audits for auditors and communicate findings to the Certification Body.
• Contribute to broader BCI Pakistan team activities and participate in professional development.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years in assurance or auditing.
• Fluent in English and Urdu.
• Academic background in rural/agricultural development, sustainability, textile sector, or management sciences.
• Experience with standard systems, assurance frameworks, or auditor training.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the BCI Platform for monitoring and reporting.
