Senior Server Engineer – Windows, VMware & Linux

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Server Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of our Windows, VMware, and Linux server environments. The role involves ensuring high availability, security, and performance across critical infrastructure while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and VMware virtualization platforms.
• Manage Ubuntu Linux servers, including installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
• Handle security patching, vulnerability remediation, and hardening for both Windows and Linux systems.
• Perform VM vMotion, Storage vMotion, and resource adjustments (memory, CPU) as needed.
• Monitor incidents, resolve escalated L1/L2 issues, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation and incident escalation processes.
• Collaborate with IT, development, and security teams to integrate server services with business processes.
• Identify training needs and mentor team members on Windows and VMware administration.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of proven experience in Windows and VMware systems administration.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Ubuntu Linux administration.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
