SEO & Business Development Executive

About the role

Berks Technologies, a Lahore-based software agency serving clients in the UK, US and EU, is looking for a results-driven SEO & Business Development Executive. You will own the Upwork pipeline from opportunity sourcing to qualified lead hand-over, representing the development and design team to prospective clients.

Key responsibilities

• Source and filter relevant Upwork (or similar marketplace) job postings, prioritising opportunities that match company services and client budgets.
• Research client needs and craft bespoke, persuasive proposals and cover messages that meet agency standards.
• Manage initial client communication on the platform, clarifying requirements, negotiating scope and budget, and addressing concerns to qualify opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal technical leads to prepare accurate estimates, scope documents and hand-over briefs for qualified leads.
• Maintain a pipeline tracker and provide regular updates to management.

Required profile

• Proven experience sourcing and winning freelance/marketplace projects (Upwork or similar) for software or digital services.
• Excellent written English with the ability to produce tailored, professional proposals.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for client discovery and scope/budget discussions.
• Ability to research client businesses and translate requirements into clear scope and hand-over notes.
• Organisational skills to manage a multi-opportunity pipeline and keep trackers up-to-date.
• Familiarity with Upwork platform features, proposal best practices and basic contract/dispute handling.
• Commercial awareness to price services appropriately and spot red flags.
• Collaborative mindset to work with developers, designers and management.
