Software Engineer - Backend (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer on a contract basis to design, build and maintain scalable backend systems for high‑performance applications. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services using modern frameworks.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for a global user base.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues with a focus on uptime.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience creating and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
