Software Engineer – E-Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join a leading technology company focused on high‑traffic e‑commerce platforms. The position is fully remote and ideal for new graduates eager to build scalable backend services that power real‑time user experiences worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services within a distributed micro‑services architecture.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following industry best practices.
• Profile and optimise system performance, addressing bottlenecks and improving algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver features on schedule.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a strong foundation in computer science.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional remote team.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for building high‑performance systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience or academic exposure to distributed systems, micro‑services, or cloud‑native development.
• Familiarity with relational (SQL) and non‑relational (NoSQL) databases and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
