Software Engineer - E-Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a leading e‑commerce platform. The position is fully remote and focuses on building high‑performance backend services that power real‑time user experiences for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services in a distributed, micro‑services architecture.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices.
• Profile, debug and optimise system performance and algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to ship new features.

Required profile

• Strong programming skills in Go, Python or Java.
• Experience with distributed systems, micro‑services or cloud‑native development.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and system design principles.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
