Software Engineer - E-Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join an e‑commerce team that builds high‑traffic, real‑time platforms. The position is fully remote and offers the chance to work on scalable backend services for a global technology leader.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services in a distributed environment.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices.
• Profile, debug and optimise system performance and algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to deliver features.

Required profile

• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python or Java.
• Experience with distributed systems, micro‑services or cloud‑native development.
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and system design principles.
• Experience using version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
