Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join a leading global financial services firm. In this remote position you will help design, build, and maintain core backend systems that process real‑time financial transactions for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for high‑volume financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement robust security controls to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable code and follow best practices in software engineering.
• Troubleshoot production issues to minimise downtime and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience with backend development using Java, Python or Go.
• Background in financial transaction systems, payment processing or related domains.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, micro‑services architecture and API design.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
