Software Engineer – Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a global leader in data infrastructure and analytics. The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable platforms that ingest, process, and analyze human‑generated datasets. You will work remotely with a distributed team, delivering reliable, high‑performance services that support both real‑time and batch workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise data pipelines for large‑scale human‑generated data.
• Build and maintain backend services that enable real‑time and batch processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to guarantee platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, performance, and security.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail when debugging complex systems.
• Experience working with distributed systems and cloud‑based data infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with Kafka, Spark, or similar distributed processing technologies.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure for data workloads.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
