Software Engineer – Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a global leader in data infrastructure and analytics. The role is fully remote and focuses on building and maintaining human‑data platforms that ingest, process, and serve large‑scale, human‑generated datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise data pipelines for processing human‑generated data at scale.
• Develop and maintain backend services supporting real‑time and batch data processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to maintain platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability and performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating large‑scale data platforms.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail when debugging complex systems.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional, distributed teams.

Required skills

• Python, Java, or Go for backend development.
• Distributed systems technologies such as Kafka and Spark.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Containerisation and orchestration tools: Docker and Kubernetes.
