Technical Architect (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Architect to join a global technology leader on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on designing scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that align with business objectives. You will work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to drive innovation across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Lead architectural decisions to ensure system scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement and optimise solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
• Assess emerging technologies and industry trends to inform architectural roadmaps.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in software architecture, with a focus on scalable systems.
• Proven ability to lead architectural decisions and mentor technical teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.

Required skills

• AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Design of distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Data engineering concepts
• Security best practices and compliance frameworks
