Therapeutic Specialist – Oncology, Ophthalmology & Cardiology

About the role

The Therapeutic Specialist is a senior individual‑contributor position focused on scientific engagement with healthcare professionals across oncology, ophthalmology and cardiology therapeutic areas. Reporting to the regional commercial team, the role drives product presence, supports access and contributes to achieving sales targets without direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular visits to selected HCPs for scientific discussion and product education.
• Record daily activities and sales performance in Veeva, ensuring accurate field reporting.
• Develop weekly and monthly activity plans aligned with business priorities.
• Engage hospital pharmacies, procurement departments and leading retail pharmacies to secure product availability.
• Visit Bayer‑authorized distributors to monitor stock levels and delivery status.
• Coordinate with distributors via email and phone to resolve issues promptly.
• Identify and develop thought leaders as product advocates.
• Present performance updates at Monthly Business Review meetings.
• Execute approved marketing strategies in compliance with regulations.
• Organise scientific programs and complete required documentation.
• Own territory performance and achieve assigned product targets.

Required profile

• Pharm‑D, B.Pharmacy, BSc or MBA degree.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years with specialized pharmaceutical products.
• Strong business communication and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Veeva CRM for activity tracking and reporting.
