Unit Head – Debit & Credit Card Partnerships & Alliances

About the role

The Unit Head – Debit & Credit Card Partnerships & Alliances will lead the development and execution of the bank's card partnership and alliance strategy, driving acquisition, activation, usage and overall portfolio growth of debit and credit cards. Reporting to the Wing Head Debit & Digital Card, the role is remote and focuses on expanding the bank’s digital payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and execution of the bank’s Cards Partnership & Alliances strategy.
• Identify, onboard and manage strategic partnerships with merchants, aggregators, fintechs, e‑commerce platforms and payment service providers.
• Design and manage discounts, cashback, installment and loyalty campaigns in collaboration with partner merchants to boost POS and e‑commerce transaction volumes.
• Work closely with internal teams—including Cards Business, Digital Banking, Marketing, Compliance, Operations and Technology—to launch partnership‑driven initiatives.
• Identify new market opportunities and strategic alliances to expand card acceptance and improve customer engagement.
• Manage relationships with card schemes, payment networks and external partners to ensure effective collaboration.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation from a recognized university; Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Business Management or a related field preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience in banking, financial institutions, telecom or fintech, with a minimum of 4 years in card alliances business partnership.
• Experience in debit/credit card alliance and partnership is preferred.
• Strong partnership and alliance management skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Understanding of products and services offered in digital banking.
