Wing Head – Green Banking (Own Impact Reduction) (VP)

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan seeks a senior leader to head its Green Banking Wing, focusing on Own Impact Reduction. Reporting to the Chief Green Banking Manager, the role will drive energy efficiency, water conservation, paper reduction and waste management across the bank’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and implement a comprehensive Own Impact Reduction Strategy aligned with the bank’s sustainability objectives.
• Develop short‑, medium‑ and long‑term action plans and performance indicators for energy, water, paper and waste management.
• Ensure compliance with Green Banking and Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM) policies and procedures.
• Prepare and submit periodic regulatory reports on green banking initiatives.
• Design and deliver training content for staff and customers on green banking principles.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of green financing products, sustainable development projects and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Lead policy and procedural development and coordinate cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation; Masters in environmental sciences, CSR, sustainability management, renewable energy, business administration with a sustainability focus preferred.
• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years in sustainable development, ESG implementation, energy efficiency, or related fields.
• Current experience in a team‑leader or supervisory role within a financial institution is advantageous.
