3D Industrial Designer (Part-Time, Remote)

About the role

IT CORP Inc is looking for an experienced 3D Industrial Designer / Mechanical CAD Designer with strong expertise in consumer product design, mechanical engineering and manufacturing-ready CAD modeling. The position is part time and remote, based in Karachi, Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop consumer products from concept to production-ready CAD models.
• Create accurate 3D models, mechanical assemblies and detailed 2D engineering drawings.
• Develop mechanical components, moving mechanisms, enclosures and functional product designs.
• Design products suitable for injection molding and other manufacturing processes.
• Apply mold design fundamentals (draft angles, wall thickness, parting lines, undercuts, shrinkage) and DFM principles to optimise products for mass production.
• Prepare CAD files for prototyping, CNC machining, 3D printing and injection molding.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and manufacturers to refine designs and resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of consumer product design and mechanical engineering principles.
• Practical experience with plastic product design, injection molding and mold-related design considerations.
• Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances and mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to turn concepts into functional, manufacturable products, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A portfolio showing previous consumer product and mechanical design projects is mandatory; candidates with real-world product development, mechanical mechanisms and injection-molded consumer product experience are preferred.
