Area Sales Manager – Karachi

About the role

Hayat, a leading FMCG company, is looking for a dynamic Area Sales Manager to drive growth in the Karachi market. You will lead distributor and sales teams, execute strategic plans, and ensure strong market presence across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales, distribution and visibility targets for assigned channels.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to sustain business growth in the territory.
• Manage and strengthen distributor networks, ensuring effective coverage, service levels and ROI.
• Negotiate annual agreements, promotional plans, trade activities and sales targets with distributors and key customers.
• Oversee trade and channel strategies, including in‑store visibility and point‑of‑buy execution.
• Lead, coach and develop distributor and internal sales teams to improve performance.
• Conduct regular market visits to monitor competition, identify opportunities and ensure retail execution.
• Maintain efficient stock management and timely receivable recovery.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions for smooth operations.
• Utilize market intelligence and sales data to drive business decisions and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• 6–8 years of FMCG sales experience, including prior role as an Area Sales Manager.
• Proven experience in distributor handling, team leadership and trade marketing.
• Familiarity with General Trade, Wholesale and Modern Trade channels.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area and a valid driving licence.
