Backend AI & Data Pipeline Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a junior Backend AI & Data Pipeline Engineer to join our remote team and help build the data infrastructure behind Yuzee’s intelligent matching platform. You will work on end‑to‑end pipelines that ingest, process, and enrich large volumes of educational and job data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain three distinct data pipelines: scheduled job ingestion, event‑driven course processing, and periodic knowledge‑graph construction.
• Generate semantic embeddings using Amazon Bedrock (Titan v2) and index them in MongoDB Atlas Vector Search.
• Calibrate similarity thresholds to ensure accurate matching between candidates, courses, and jobs.
• Build and maintain a knowledge graph linking jobs, courses, skills, and industries using FP‑Growth association rules.
• Monitor pipeline performance, cost, and reliability, and apply optimisations as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or proven practical experience.
• Junior‑level experience with backend systems, data processing, or cloud‑based infrastructure.
• Fluent English, able to work full‑time remotely.
