Budget & Programming Officer (SSA9) – Islamabad

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Budget & Programming Officer (SSA9) on a Special Service Agreement for three months in Islamabad. The role supports the Benazir Nashonuma Programme (BNP) as it moves into its third phase, Nashonuma 3.0, ensuring sound budgeting, programming and financial monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, review and submission of programme budgets and financial plans for BNP.
• Monitor programme expenditures against approved budgets and provide regular financial reports.
• Coordinate with the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and internal WFP units to ensure alignment of financial and programming data.
• Support the analysis of programme performance indicators and contribute to corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with WFP financial policies, donor requirements and national regulations.

Required profile

• Pakistan national.
• Relevant university degree, verified/attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
• Experience in budgeting, financial monitoring or programme management in a humanitarian or development context.
