Homeroom Teacher

About the role

Crescent Model Higher Secondary School (CMS), founded in the early 1960s by the Crescent Educational Trust, is looking for a full-time, on-site Homeroom Teacher based in Lahore. The teacher oversees the academic and personal development of students in a designated class, manages daily routines and works closely with parents and subject teachers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and monitor student progress
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a supportive learning environment
• Manage daily routines and take attendance
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
• Coordinate with subject teachers to ensure curriculum alignment
• Organize class activities and support school events
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and behaviour

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject; a teaching certification or diploma is preferred
• Prior teaching experience at school level, ideally as a homeroom or class teacher
• Comfort with basic educational technology and tools
• Commitment to professional ethics, continuous learning and the school's mission

Required skills

• Strong classroom management, lesson planning and instructional skills for secondary students
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills with students, families and colleagues
• Ability to build an inclusive, supportive classroom
• Organizational and record-keeping skills for attendance, assessments and reports
