Junior Engineer – Hydropower Projects

About the role

SMEC is looking for a Junior Engineer to support its hydropower project in KPK. The role involves assisting senior engineers with civil engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design and execution of civil works, including quantity take‑offs and cost estimation.
• Support site supervision, monitor construction against approved drawings and specifications, and prepare progress reports.
• Review drawings and technical documents, conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams to facilitate smooth execution of civil works and support project scheduling and progress tracking.

Required profile

• B.Sc./B.E. in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably in hydropower, dams or major infrastructure projects.
• Experience in site supervision, construction monitoring, estimation or project coordination.
• Good understanding of civil engineering drawings, specifications and construction practices.
