Legal Compliance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Compliance Manager to lead the legal, regulatory and compliance functions of our SECP‑licensed NBFC operating in the digital lending and fintech space in Pakistan. The role ensures the company meets all statutory obligations, manages regulatory filings and supports contract and corporate legal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with NBFC, digital lending, AML/CFT, consumer protection and data‑privacy regulations.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise senior management on legal implications.
• Prepare and coordinate regulatory filings, reports and responses to SECP, State Bank of Pakistan, FIA and PTIA.
• Maintain compliance calendars, licences, statutory records and regulatory trackers.
• Implement and review internal policies on AML/CFT, KYC, sanctions, consumer protection and data privacy.
• Conduct compliance monitoring, gap analysis and prepare management reports.
• Deliver compliance training and awareness programmes.
• Draft, review and manage commercial contracts, vendor agreements, employment documents and customer‑facing terms.
• Coordinate with external counsel on disputes and specialised legal issues.
• Support board resolutions, statutory filings and corporate secretarial matters.

Required profile

• LL.B. degree; Pakistan bar enrolment is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of experience in legal and compliance roles within an NBFC, fintech, bank or regulated financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of Pakistan NBFC, AML/CFT, digital lending and consumer protection regulations.
• Experience dealing with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan is highly preferred.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills.
