Legal Counsel

About the role

IDR is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its legal department and provide comprehensive legal support across the organization. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with Pakistani employment and labor laws while supporting global operations from a legal perspective.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on contracts, employment matters, compliance, and corporate governance.
• Draft, review, and revise contracts, NDAs, vendor agreements, and other legal documents to align with company policies and legal requirements.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, maintain compliance policies, and assist with internal documentation.
• Support corporate governance activities, including maintaining legal records, preparing resolutions, and organizing corporate documentation.
• Conduct legal research, prepare summaries, reports, and legal opinions for internal use.
• Assist with employment and labor law matters, including reviewing employment agreements and HR-related documentation.
• Coordinate documentation and communication for litigation and dispute management with external counsel.
• Help protect intellectual property such as trademarks, copyrights, and confidential information.
• Identify and escalate potential legal and compliance risks to senior counsel.
