Planning Engineer – Shutdown & Turnaround Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Planning Engineer with strong experience in SAP PS, budgeting and cost control. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Mechanical Engineer capable of leading shutdown and turnaround planning, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and ensuring successful project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed shutdown and turnaround schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare Level 3 and Level 4 schedules for mechanical works.
• Define activity sequences, durations and logic based on shutdown strategy.
• Integrate mechanical scope with E&I, Civil, QA/QC and HSE disciplines.
• Support shutdown preparation, execution and post‑shutdown close‑out.
• Coordinate with site teams, construction, maintenance and operations.
• Track daily progress, update schedules and identify schedule risks.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and perform schedule variance analysis.
• Liaise with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, QA/QC and HSE teams.
• Participate in planning meetings, readiness reviews and daily coordination sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, SAP PS, budgeting and cost control.
• Proven experience in turnaround planning and shutdown management.
