Plant Operations Manager

About the role

The Plant Operations Manager will lead daily manufacturing activities at our Sundar Industrial Area facility in Lahore. You will ensure efficient, safe, and compliant production while driving continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee plant performance, enforce SOPs, and monitor KPIs such as efficiency, downtime, and waste.
• Lead production supervisors, maintenance staff and shift leads, providing training, mentorship and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate production schedules with planning and supply‑chain teams, manage raw‑material availability and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE standards, conduct safety drills, audits and risk assessments, and collaborate with QA to maintain product quality.
• Identify gaps and implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S and Six Sigma initiatives to improve automation, reduce costs and boost performance.
• Prepare daily/weekly performance reports for senior management and liaise with procurement, logistics, HR and finance for smooth operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or a related engineering discipline.
• 4–5 years of proven experience managing plant or industrial operations, preferably in textile (spinning, weaving, dyeing) or plastics (injection molding, extrusion, packaging) manufacturing.
• Strong people‑management and leadership capabilities.
• Hands‑on experience with Lean, Six Sigma or similar continuous‑improvement tools.
• Practical knowledge of production planning, equipment maintenance and plant safety.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is a plus.
