Production Manager – Polymer Engineering

About the role

The company is seeking a Production Manager with a strong background in polymer engineering to lead daily manufacturing operations in Lahore. You will be responsible for achieving production targets while ensuring optimal use of manpower, equipment and raw materials.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and monitor daily production activities to meet output goals.
• Supervise the complete polymer pipe manufacturing process, including extrusion, sizing, cooling, cutting, socketing and packing.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications and ISO/API requirements.
• Drive process improvements to reduce downtime, scrap and material waste.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with the Maintenance team to minimise breakdowns.
• Track KPIs such as OEE, rejection rate, cycle time and machine efficiency; prepare daily production reports.
• Maintain HSE compliance and promote a safe working environment.
• Lead, train and evaluate supervisors, operators and shift staff.
• Collaborate with Planning, QA, Stores and Supply Chain to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Control raw material consumption, production costs and inventory.
• Investigate production issues, implement CAPA and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Polymer, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in polymer pipe manufacturing (HDPE, PPRC, PVC, UPVC, CPVC).
• At least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
