Remote C# Developer (Contractor)

About the role

Turing is seeking an experienced C# developer to join a remote AI‑focused project. You will work on building and evaluating large‑language‑model (LLM) datasets that simulate realistic software‑engineering tasks using public GitHub repositories.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and triage GitHub issues from trending open‑source libraries.
• Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment provisioning.
• Evaluate unit‑test coverage and overall code quality.
• Run, modify, and test codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug‑fixing scenarios.
• Collaborate with researchers to select challenging repositories and issues for LLM evaluation.
• Lead junior engineers on related tasks when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of professional software‑engineering experience.
• Tech‑lead level competence with complex codebases.
• Experience working with public GitHub repositories and open‑source projects.
• Ability to commit 20–40 hours per week with at least 4 hours overlapping PST.

Required skills

• C# programming.
• Git version control.
• Docker and container‑based environment setup.
