Remote Radiology Subject Matter Expert (Contractor)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Radiologist to join our AI data services team as a Subject Matter Expert. Working remotely on an hourly contract, you will review AI‑generated radiology responses, create gold‑standard content, and provide detailed feedback to improve model accuracy and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content by crafting detailed prompts and reference answers covering imaging appropriateness, protocols, differential diagnosis, and reporting standards.
• Evaluate and rank AI‑generated radiology responses for clinical correctness, clarity, safety, and adherence to the original prompt.
• Identify and document errors in modality selection, protocol choice, incidental‑finding logic, and patient‑safety considerations such as contrast use, radiation dose, pregnancy, and renal function.
• Fact‑check imaging and clinical information, write high‑quality explanations, and compare multiple AI outputs to guide model improvement.
• Test AI outputs for bias, unsafe recommendations, and reliability across diverse patient populations.

Required profile

• MD or DO (or equivalent) with completed Diagnostic Radiology residency and board eligibility or certification.
• Minimum 5 years of professional radiology experience in academic, community, teleradiology, or subspecialty practice.
• Strong clinical reasoning skills, able to translate clinical presentations into imaging strategies and prioritize differentials.
• Deep knowledge of imaging modalities, their trade‑offs, limitations, and protocol impacts.
• Excellent safety judgment regarding contrast reactions, nephrotoxicity, pregnancy, anticoagulation, and radiation dose.
• Exceptional attention to detail for fact‑checking and identifying unsafe assumptions; C1‑level English proficiency.
