Medical Officer

About the role

The Medical Officer is a full‑time, on‑site position at Nisar Medical Complex in Rawalpindi, responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient examinations, review medical histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary teams, including senior physicians and surgeons.
• Support clinical procedures, ensure continuity of care, and participate in patient education.
• Take part in clinical audits, quality‑improvement initiatives, and ongoing staff training.

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with valid registration to the relevant medical council.
• Strong foundation in medicine, able to assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of clinical conditions.
• Experience in surgery or assisting surgical procedures, adhering to operating‑room protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and mentor junior staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency in performing and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Familiarity with hospital information systems and electronic medical records.
• Competence in surgical assistance and operating‑room safety standards.
