Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local regulations. This role reports to Finance leadership and mentors junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities and coordinate audit processes.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, journal entries, accruals and bank statements.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, monitor overdue items and ensure accurate reconciliations.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and support ERP implementation projects.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Professional certification preferred (ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA).
