Senior AI Engineer - Microsoft Copilot & AI Platform

About the role

Aegasis Labs, an AI-first agent development company, is hiring a Senior AI Engineer for an embedded placement inside an enterprise client's IT Solutions Department. The engineer owns AI solutions end to end: from business case and KPIs with stakeholders, through design, build and deployment, to monitoring and continuous improvement. The estate is currently Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio, and the focus shifts to Azure AI Foundry and Azure Databricks as the client moves to its own AI platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture across M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI Foundry and Azure Databricks under a managed services model.
• Work with business and IT stakeholders to identify and prioritise AI use cases, and agree the business case and KPIs before build.
• Design and deliver Copilot agents (including declarative agents), custom connectors and MCP integrations, Power Platform flows, and Azure RAG and agentic solutions, from proof of concept to production.
• Secure and govern every solution with Microsoft Purview, Entra ID and DLP, in line with NCA requirements.
• Set architecture standards, reference patterns and ALM practices across Development, Test/UAT and Production.
• Run the managed service: SLAs, monitoring, incident and change management through the client's ITSM processes.
• Manage Copilot Studio capacity, Azure consumption and token spend, and report service performance and realised value.
• Advise the client on the Microsoft AI roadmap and transfer knowledge to internal teams.
• Support IT strategy initiatives such as EPM process flow automation.

Required profile

• 6+ years in AI/ML or Microsoft solution engineering with production deployments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, AI or a related field.
• Fluent Arabic and English, able to explain technical solutions to senior stakeholders.
• Mandatory: at least 2 of the 4 listed Microsoft certifications (AI-103, AI-102, DP-750, AB-100, AB-620, AB-410, AI-300, SC-500), with a Microsoft Learn transcript link shared.

Required skills

• Hands-on M365 Copilot and Copilot Studio, including agents and custom connectors.
• Hands-on Azure OpenAI Service and Azure AI Foundry.
• At least two RAG or agent solutions shipped to production in enterprise environments.
• Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse) and Microsoft Graph.
• Strong Python and REST API skills; LLM evaluation and prompt engineering.
• AI governance and security (Purview, Entra ID) and NCA ECC, CCC and DCC controls.
• Nice to have: Azure Databricks, Azure AI Search, Semantic Kernel or AutoGen, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
