Senior Architectural Draftsman

About the role

Zarrar & Co. is looking for a Senior Architectural Draftsman in Lahore. The role involves producing and coordinating detailed architectural drawings that turn design concepts into construction-ready documentation, working closely with the architecture team, consultants and site personnel. The draftsman manages several drawing packages at once and coordinates with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, layouts and construction details.
• Develop working drawings and construction documentation based on project requirements.
• Create schedules and layouts such as door and window schedules, reflected ceiling plans and floor-finish layouts.
• Draw architectural elements such as walls, partitions, staircases, washrooms and joinery.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, electrical, plumbing and HVAC disciplines.
• Review drawings for accuracy in dimensions, levels, annotations and consistency before submission.
• Incorporate revisions and feedback from architects, consultants, clients and site teams.
• Assist with shop drawings, as-built drawings and record drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision histories and document control records.
• Liaise with site teams to resolve technical drawing issues and clarify construction details.
• Use Microsoft Office tools for documentation and communication.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in architectural drafting and construction documentation.
• Organized, able to manage multiple drawing packages simultaneously with high accuracy and consistency.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills; team management is not required.
• Familiarity with drawing revision processes and construction standards.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
• Solid understanding of architectural detailing, construction methods and site requirements
• Microsoft Office tools
