Design & Estimation Engineer - MEP

About the role

Aala Tech, an engineering and technology company specializing in ELV, ICT, structured cabling, MEP, data center infrastructure and smart building systems, is expanding its engineering team in Lahore. It is looking for a Design and Estimation Engineer (MEP) to support regional and international projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings and BOQs to prepare accurate cost estimates for MEP works (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting)
• Prepare design layouts, schematic drawings and technical submittals for tender and project purposes
• Analyze and compare vendor quotations and material submittals to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to gather data for costing
• Take part in value engineering, budget planning and project scheduling support
• Assist in proposal preparation and technical documentation for tenders
• Provide post-tender clarifications and technical support to the sales and execution teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or a relevant engineering field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in MEP design and estimation (GCC project experience is a plus)
• Must be based in Lahore or willing to relocate

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel and estimation software (e.g. Bluebeam, PlanSwift or similar)
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and project estimation principles
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Good analytical and technical writing skills
