Senior Backend Developer & ML Ops – Lahore

About the role

This full-time, on-site position in Lahore will design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power AI-driven compliance and data platforms. You will build data pipelines, integrate machine-learning models into production, and ensure high performance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python, Java, Node.js or similar.
• Design RESTful or GraphQL APIs for AI-powered compliance solutions.
• Build and manage data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and work with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Set up and operate ML infrastructure, including model deployment, versioning, monitoring and automation using Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Kubeflow or comparable tools.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and observability tooling on AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers and frontend engineers to refine requirements, review code and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure security, compliance and resilience of systems in regulated environments.

Required profile

• Strong backend engineering experience with modern server-side languages/frameworks.
• Hands-on ML Ops experience deploying and monitoring models.
• Proficiency with databases, data modeling and large-scale data pipelines.
• Solid DevOps and cloud skills, including CI/CD, IaC and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of security and compliance best practices for regulated data.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Effective communication and ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.
