Senior Frontend Engineer

About the role

Orbilect Labs, a global software development and product engineering company based in Karachi, is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the creation of polished, reliable, and high‑performing web interfaces. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to turn requirements into maintainable user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive frontend applications using modern web technologies.
• Translate UI/UX designs and product requirements into reusable, accessible, and scalable components.
• Establish frontend architecture, coding standards, testing practices, and performance improvements.
• Integrate APIs with backend teams to deliver secure and dependable features.
• Review code, mentor engineers, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to technical decisions.
• Monitor browser compatibility, accessibility, responsiveness, and application performance across devices.

Required profile

• Strong collaboration and technical communication abilities.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading frontend initiatives.
• Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.

Required skills

• JavaScript and TypeScript
• Modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular
• HTML, CSS, responsive design, accessibility, and browser compatibility
• Building reusable component systems and scalable frontend architecture
• Integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data flows
• Git, code review workflows, package management, and frontend build tools
• Unit, integration, or end‑to‑end testing and debugging techniques
• Web performance optimization and security fundamentals
