Senior IP Network Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior IP Network Engineer to design, implement and maintain high‑performance telecom networks. The role involves working on large‑scale carrier environments, ensuring reliability, security and optimal performance of routing and switching infrastructures.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and troubleshoot Ethernet, VLAN, Spanning Tree, Bridge Domain and VXLAN solutions.
• Implement and manage WAN link technologies such as PPP and POS.
• Deploy and optimise routing protocols including OSPF, IS‑IS and BGP, handling route import and policy controls.
• Engineer MPLS services (L3VPN, VPLS, VLL, MPLS‑TE, Multicast, QoS) and data‑center technologies like MLAG, EVPN and SRv6.
• Maintain network management systems using SNMP and perform database‑level monitoring.
• Configure firewall, IPsec, ACLs and VPN solutions, and apply high‑availability designs (BFD, Graceful Restart, Fast Reroute, FRR).
• Work with equipment from Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet and Nokia, ensuring performance indices and hardware compatibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in telecom or service‑provider network operations.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, HCIA and HCIE.
• Strong knowledge of P, PE and RR router architectures.
• Hands‑on expertise with Ethernet, VLANs, WAN links and routing policies.
• Familiarity with high‑availability, network security and performance optimisation.
• Excellent analytical, communication and troubleshooting abilities.
