Senior Voice AI Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Voice AI Developer to own the end‑to‑end build of voice AI deployments. You will join a fully remote, collaborative team and deliver production‑grade AI agents that integrate directly into clients' real‑world business workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Write and refine production‑grade prompts for voice AI agents, covering business logic, personas, edge‑case handling and fallbacks.
• Develop custom tools inside the agent such as CRM lookups, appointment booking, lead qualification, live transfers and escalations.
• Configure Retell.ai end‑to‑end, including LLM setup, tool definitions, call flows and error handling.
• Map client business processes and replicate them inside the AI system to behave like a top employee.
• Integrate the voice AI with existing CRMs, calendars or software via APIs, webhooks and automation platforms (GHL workflows, n8n, direct integrations).
• Ensure post‑call data (summaries, outcomes, recordings, contact updates) is correctly routed and synchronized with third‑party CRMs.
• Maintain reliability across multiple client deployments, proactively flag issues and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate closely with automation developers and the broader technical team.

Required profile

• Proven experience writing complex prompts for production voice AI agents.
• Hands‑on experience building custom tools inside Retell.ai that connect to live business systems.
• Ability to translate a client’s existing business process into a functional AI integration.
• Deep knowledge of GoHighLevel (GHL) to set up sub‑accounts and workflows from scratch.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
