Technical Architect – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Architect to join a global technology leader on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions that meet both business and technical requirements.
• Lead architectural decisions to ensure system scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to implement and optimise solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
• Assess emerging technologies and industry trends to inform architectural roadmaps.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in software architecture, focusing on scalable systems.
• Proven ability to work remotely and communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a track record of delivering high‑impact projects.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Design of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Data engineering knowledge.
• Security best practices and compliance frameworks.
