Accessories Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accessories Development Engineer to join PUMA’s product development team. You will support the creation and launch of sporting‑goods accessories such as goalkeeper gloves, footballs, shin guards, handballs and related small items, ensuring they meet our performance and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned accessory styles from concept through prototyping to sample approval.
• Coordinate with external suppliers on sample progress, technical execution and corrective actions.
• Support costing and feasibility discussions with internal stakeholders.
• Track development timelines, monitor milestone adherence and flag risks or delays.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (business unit, materials, order management, production, QA) on specifications and updates.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and testing requirements.
• Maintain accurate development data, documentation and reporting.

Required profile

• University degree in Sports Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4+ years of experience in product development, preferably with accessories.
• Strong knowledge of product construction, materials and development processes.
• Excellent organizational, follow‑up and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
