Accounts Receivable Executive

About the role

Lucky Petroleum is hiring an Accounts Receivable Executive for its Head Office in Lahore. The role manages the money owed by customers: maintaining customer accounts, processing invoices, monitoring outstanding payments and reconciling balances. It sits within the Finance department and reports to the Manager Finance and the Chief Financial Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate customer account balances, reconcile company records with customer statements and confirm outstanding balances with customers.
• Investigate discrepancies in invoices, receipts, credit notes and debit notes, and ensure transactions are recorded correctly in the accounting system.
• Prepare daily customer-wise receivables reports, accounts receivable ageing reports, fund and collection reports, and identify overdue balances.
• Reconcile bank statements, match bank transactions with customer payments, investigate unidentified receipts and allocate payments to the correct accounts.
• Create new customer codes in the ERP system only after approval, verify registration documents and credit terms, and avoid duplicate records.
• Prepare and process customer invoices from approved sales orders and delivery documents, checking quantities, rates, taxes and supporting documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business Administration.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable, customer accounting, invoicing or bank reconciliation; OMC, petroleum distribution, FMCG or high-volume trading experience preferred.
• ACCA, ICMA or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookup functions, PivotTables and reconciliation schedules.
• Practical experience with ERP or accounting software such as SAP or Oracle.
• Understanding of accounting principles, taxation and invoicing requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
