Assistant Manager – Engine Assembly Line

About the role

The Assistant Manager Engine Assembly Line (EAL) ensures efficient and uninterrupted engine assembly operations, meeting production, quality, safety and productivity targets through process control, technical problem‑solving and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day engine assembly operations to meet production targets.
• Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, SOPs, work instructions and quality standards.
• Provide hands‑on technical support for assembly, troubleshooting, process validation and line abnormality resolution.
• Monitor production KPIs such as cycle time, downtime, OEE, FPY, rejection and rework to identify gaps.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring production and quality issues.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning and Supply Chain to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, line balancing and waste reduction.
• Lead and develop assembly personnel while enforcing EHS requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an HEC‑recognised institution.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing/assembly operations, preferably in a plant environment.
• Proven ability to manage production lines, troubleshoot assembly issues and monitor OEE.

• SAP Maintenance Management System (preferred).
