Purchase Executive

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and result‑oriented Purchase Executive to lead procurement activities for our two‑wheeler electric vehicle business. The role involves sourcing components, managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely material availability while controlling cost and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and process purchase requisitions and orders in line with approved requirements and procedures.
• Plan and coordinate procurement to guarantee on‑time delivery of parts, components and materials for two‑wheeler operations.
• Coordinate with vendors on quotations, order placement, delivery schedules and order status.
• Liaise with head office and stakeholders to ensure accurate Goods Receipt Notes.
• Monitor daily procurement orders, follow‑up on pending PRs, POs, GRNs and resolve issues.
• Prepare daily procurement status reports covering material availability, open orders and vendor updates.
• Support creation of new item codes and maintain Bill of Materials updates.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, finance and production teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Commerce or related field.
• 2–4 years of procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in automotive, motorcycle, EV or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, sourcing, quotations and material planning.
• Hands‑on experience with PR/PO processing, vendor coordination, order tracking and GRNs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP procurement modules.
• Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) management and item‑code creation.
• Experience in PR/PO processing and inventory/material availability tracking.
• Vendor coordination and order tracking capabilities.
