Assistant Manager Internal Audit

About the role

The Assistant Manager Internal Audit supports the internal audit function by providing independent, objective assessments of the company’s operations and control environment. The role works closely with senior management to evaluate and improve control activities across operational, reporting, and compliance domains.

Key responsibilities

• Execute audit, review, compliance, special investigation, and agreed‑upon procedure engagements as defined in the approved audit plan.
• Develop an understanding of business areas, assess key risks, and compare current practices against best‑practice control frameworks.
• Design and apply risk‑based sampling and testing approaches to verify the effectiveness of management controls.
• Report findings, negotiate actionable remediation plans with management, and follow up on implementation.
• Maintain a follow‑up database and perform subsequent audit assignments to ensure sustained compliance.
• Assist the audit team with ad‑hoc analyses and assignments as required.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree or professional qualification (CA Finalist, ACCA, ACMA, ICMA or equivalent).
• Up to 7 years of experience in internal audit, finance, or related fields.
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, time‑management, and communication abilities.
• High level of integrity and accountability.
