Associate - Mercury Transaction Support (Finance)

About the role

EY is hiring an Associate for its Mercury Transaction Support team in Karachi. You will support engagement transaction processing alongside the Engagement and Finance teams, handling tasks in SAP such as opportunity creation, management, pricing, budgeting and billing, and analysing scenarios to suggest ways to improve engagement margins.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the engagement team in managing opportunities, pricing, budgeting and billing within SAP.
• Work with MENA MBA/PFAs so that each transaction follows service line protocols.
• Advise the engagement team on Mercury and best practices.
• Report request status and volume analysis to market finance on time.
• Support system improvement by giving regular feedback on performance and suggesting enhancements.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in transaction processing, ideally in a professional services firm.
• A finance-related degree or experience in a professional service or consultancy environment.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to solve problems accurately and under pressure.
• Ideally: a degree in Business or Finance, experience with an ERP platform (SAP, Oracle etc.), and experience managing and developing people.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Power BI.
• Strong numeracy, attention to detail and time management.
