Associate Quality Engineer (P1) - Home Appliances

About the role

Haier, a globally recognized home appliances brand, is hiring an Associate Quality Engineer (P1) at its facility on Raiwind Road, Lahore. The role sits within Quality Assurance / Quality Control and supports product quality from incoming parts through finished goods, helping to reduce rejection and rework costs and support continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect components, semi-finished products during production and finished products against approved work instructions and first-sample approvals.
• Monitor rejection and rework levels, track per-unit quality losses, analyze recurring defects and coordinate corrective actions with production and supplier teams.
• Ensure inspection activities follow procedures, support ECNS documentation, check calibration of tools and gauges and support routine product testing.
• Carry out daily finished-goods audits and weekly BRD audits, investigating finishing defects and coordinating corrective measures.
• Handle finishing issues and market complaints, and follow up on corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Support continuous quality improvement, root cause analysis, ISO compliance and quality audits.

Required profile

• BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or Quality Management.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in QA or QC, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in product and component inspection, finished-product testing, defect investigation and corrective actions.

Required skills

• Inspection procedures, quality standards and work instructions.
• Rejection and rework control, root cause analysis and quality improvement tools.
• Calibration of inspection tools and gauges, routine product testing and ISO quality systems.
