Business Analyst - Banking Systems & Finance

About the role

The bank is looking for a Business Analyst to support finance systems, reporting and project delivery. The role covers UAT execution, SQL-based data validation, report and dashboard development, process automation and coordination with Finance, Technology, Operations and PMO teams so that financial and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage UAT on projects efficiently and on time, working with Finance, Technology, Operations, Business streams and the PMO.
• Provide accurate data and information for monthly, quarterly and yearly financial and management reporting for UAE and overseas locations.
• Answer finance community queries about finance information systems and design automated reports and dashboards for finance teams.
• Track projects, URFs and deliverables and give proactive status updates to management.
• Represent Finance teams during implementation of projects, URFs and enhancements, and work with technology teams to capture and correct data elements that enable automation of reporting.
• Carry out UAT for regulatory, financial and management reporting systems and applications, and design reusable procedures, queries and templates for it.
• Handle ad hoc and regular reporting requests, and initiate and track service tickets for core banking, T24, ERP, PRIME, FMC, OFSAA and CPR applications.
• Support month-end execution and reporting, and interact with reporting teams, auditors and external vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in Finance MIS, business analysis, finance systems, management reporting or IT projects in banking or financial services.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL, and practical experience planning and running UAT.
• Experience designing reports, dashboards and automated reporting solutions; fair knowledge of banking operations and regulatory reporting.
• Strong techno-functional understanding and strong analytical, problem-solving and execution skills.
