Category Specialist

About the role

The Category Specialist will lead commercial management of PakWheels Service Center product portfolios, focusing on automotive consumables. You will drive growth, profitability and an efficient retail experience through strategic sourcing, pricing, and inventory optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Own the category strategy for lubricants, filters, batteries, brake parts, accessories and car‑care products to meet sales and margin targets.
• Develop and manage supplier partnerships, negotiate commercial agreements, rebates, promotions and pricing.
• Define product assortment, pricing, promotions and merchandising standards across all Service Centers.
• Lead procurement and inventory planning, including demand forecasting, replenishment and stock optimisation.
• Monitor category performance metrics (sales, gross margin, inventory turnover, purchase price variance) and provide actionable insights.
• Support new Service Center launches with assortment planning, inventory set‑up and supplier onboarding.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Retail Procurement or related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in category management, procurement or commercial operations, preferably in the automotive aftermarket.
• Strong commercial negotiation, vendor management and analytical capabilities.
